This Waltzer car was purchased in late in 2003 from Ian Hunt, an antique dealer from Alferton.

As you can see, much work needed to be done before it could be displayed and used.

The original artwork was by the late Fred Fowle, a signwriter to the Showmen.

Originally it was on the Waltzer of Bert Holland.

This was our first attempt at restoration work and much talking was done before any work was started.

To the right you can see Arthur Cook having a good long look and think about the job in hand.

We thought about having the job done by professionals but decided that it would be much more fun to do it ourselves..
Much more rewarding too.

To the left is me trying my hand at being a signwriter, time consuming work!

Many people mucked in and helped out.

To the right is JJ Watts doing some of the maroon and below is Debs masking up in preparation for spraying the shaded parts.

The work took months to complete.

My thanks to everyone who helped out and to everyone who helped move the heavy car from place to place and thanks to A1 Removals who kindly stored the car for a period and allowed me to work on it at the storage area they have.

Cheers guys.

Paul.
